Valiha marovany GM

Valiha Marovany GM — Madagascar's national instrument, a handcrafted tubular bamboo zither with bamboo-fiber or metal strings tuned on movable wooden bridges. The GM Marovany Valiha, Madagascar’s national instrument, is a true gem of Malagasy music, producing a soft, melodic, and crystal-clear sound that captivates the soul. More than just an instrument, this valiha is an authentic work of art, handcrafted by skilled artisans using ancestral techniques.

An Elegant and Natural Design, Unique Resonance. Each valiha is carefully carved from a raw bamboo segment, selected for its purity, lightness, and exceptional resonance. Its distinctive tubular design is surrounded by strings made of bamboo fiber or metal, precisely tuned using small movable wooden bridges, allowing for an infinite range of melodic nuances. Bamboo, a noble and sustainable material, becomes more beautiful over time and gives each instrument its own unique character.
